Glossary of Terms Used in Write a Story Round Up


Noun...a person, place, or thing (such as sunshine, car, dog, book).

Proper Noun...the name of a person, place, or thing (such as Idaho, Paris, Broncos, Roosevelt).

Verb...an action word (such as jump, run, skip, dance).

Adjective...a word that describes a noun (such as warm, green, smart, funny).

Adverb...a word that describes a verb (such as quickly, slowly, barely, hazily).
